If you ask me, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (CBTL) has one of the best, if not the best, holiday promo for coffee shops this year.
What they are doing is that for every beverage you buy, you get a stamp in your card. You'll need twelve stamps for 1 Original Ice Blended, 1 Tea Latte, 1 Caramel Macchiato, and 9 any other beverage to complete the stamp card. Once you complete them, you'll get to choose one of three notebooks (pictured above).
Yeah, the notebook is pretty standard fare these days, but what makes their promo great is that proceeds of the sale during the promo period will be donated to a total of 24 charities in the Philippines. These charities include non-profit groups that advocate education, culture, poverty reduction, and environmental conservation.
One more thing: The notebook contains 12 coupons that can be redeemed for each month in 2010. (Starbucks had a similar coupons included in their planned a few years back). This inclusion of coupons is a killer addition since everyone wants more value in promos like these.
This is a very timely promo since social awareness is higher than it used to and I think the charities will appreciate folks drinking more tea lattes from CBTL. :)
