Don't Look Now: 3D Screen Now in a Notebook

I recently attended the Acer Group's press event for the launching of their new line of notebooks and desktop computers. Of the eight new products the company showcased, there was one that literally stole my view-- the Acer Aspire 5738DG.

What makes this notebook very remarkable is that it's the first commercially available notebook computer to feature a 3D screen. This means that people can view 3D movies (like Up, which was released in Disney 3D) and see the images "pop-up." Of course, this is made possible by altering how the notebook displays the images and by wearing a special set of glasses.

I tried the notebook out and the 3D effect was impressive. Watching 3D movies from the notebook is almost as good as watching them in the theater (at least visually). I'm pretty convinced that this is the future of mobile computers in terms of display. Almost everyone who tried it out was equally impressed. This will be very useful when more 3D movies come out in the market.

Even if you're not on the market for a notebook, try to watch 3D movies in the Acer Aspire 5738DG. I'm sure you will find it an immersive experience.
